Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Re: how should i do?.. Just install the expansion after a humongous install. Report any problems you have, in as much detail as you can muster.

Wow, the spell checker in Firefox is getting more and more aggressive!

Are you running Win9x? Whereas previously you had installed over Killap's 1.02, which didn't work? That's good to know, since the readme doesn't explicitly forbid installing on top of that...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Well, the Expansion with all the fixes can be tricky to install. It's pre-patched on the CD? Interesting. I think there's one other report in this thread of problems (not "IPLY" though) with such a version. I think there were also instructions on how to possibly downgrade. Please check, if you...

You're the only one with this problem. Maybe you have a unique version of FO2... or unique skills.

You must be thinking of a different mod. http://www.teamx.ru/eng/mod/index.shtml New Vision doesn't retouch anything, it adds a new major plot and several subplots, according to its description...

After a clean humongous, your FO2 dir should look like this: After installing the Expansion, your FO2 dir should look like this: Right? I'm using the UK CD with the 1.0 version.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Sorry, didn't mean to imply I assumed anything. The "can't save" thing sounded like you always had it, not just after ruthlessly stealing Kaga's gun... or whole body... or whatever it was. =] Getting a bit tired of the temple of trials now... curse my impatience!

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Did you save during combat? I'm guessing you did, since the Kaga encounter goes into combat mode as soon as he's done yapping... right? Sounds like you have more serious problems than Kaga. Re-install clean humongous, latest Expansion, all fixes, then see if you can reproduce this issue...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I already told dagorkan this in this thread, on Mon Jan 21, 2008 8:53. ;] Seriously though, it looks like TONS of people don't know how to install this correctly and/or tell the different versions apart. I think the instructions should be re-written in a very foolproof way, and/or the install...

WinRAR will do it for you. There's a trial version which doesn't expire (but it does nag you to buy it).

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

You're recommending the "Encounter Booster" patch. Since the Expansion makes FO2 more volatile than usual (because of the heavy modding) and the encounter rate is configurable with the latest set of fixes, this shouldn't be necessary, right? Please read the Expansion installation instructions...

Grammar is hard; you're excused. But you're not excused for also being too stupid to read the first post in this very thread:

Fallout 2 Restoration Project Installer Version for Windows is still dated Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:14... will this change when you upload your changes? This will still be all we have to download? I'm running Expansion 1.1 and haven't downloaded any of the files you've linked to in this thread.

    Fallout + Wasteland = ?

Hey, you forgot to make an image of the single most important item in Wasteland. That's right, the broken toaster. If there's anything that could promote this from "cool, but would never happen" to "might actually happen", I think it's the combination of the recent reverse engineering of...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Then your Expansion installation has failed. I believe it's mentioned pretty much everywhere that the main menu should say "Expansion 1.0.22.x" or something in the lower right corner after a successful installation. Here's how: 1. Install humongous to new folder 2. Install Expansion (in same...

Wassup with everyone calling him that? Is it because he's such a gem?

Yes it does, just like it says in the first post in this thread, in the Expansion readme, and so on. =]

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Same here; if I even go close to the south parts of the world map there's always people with huge laser guns against whom I've no chance (enclave patrols, raiders, ...). I don't remember this from vanilla FO2...
