    I can understand your feelings on this, and you are free to consider it non-canon. But the fact is, unless someone else buys the rights and declares 3 and 4 non-canon, it kind of is. That being said, i've never cared much for the whole Canon Non-canon arguments, everyone has their own headcanon...

    It's not that to me. I wouldn't mind the tropes if they still had competent fucking writers, and not this Emil guy. They should sell the IP, but won't seeing as game "journalists" will always rate a franchise 10/10 regardless of whos producing it.
