As someone who started with Fallout 3, here are my thoughts on Fallout 4

It is not the bane of the genre before. Many will point to Shephard from Mass Effect as a better example of customizable voiced protagonist, me Included. But Shepard isn't your usual customizable RPG protagonist. Shepard is actually a pre-made character, basically Geralt with customizable face...

The dev team thinks of everything

At this point should realize that you have different principle on judging a worth of a game. Such disagreement on fundamental level wouldn't get anyone move to anywhere. While I absolutely disagree with your heavy praise on FO4, and Skyrim (this one game particularly), I wouldn't try to debate...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

They let Bethesda had a free pass for FO3, then hammered Obsidian for bugs in New Vegas. Now we see it how history repeat itself with Bethesda had yet another freepass with their bug ridden game.

The dev team thinks of everything

Yes, it is in my opinion that little isn't enough to make a work considered as good. I wish those little details have more substance behind it, not just small necessities for reactivity between the player and the world. Nice detail is like a cherry and cream on a cake. It's a nice thing to have...

The dev team thinks of everything

Those are really nice little touch of detail to the game. Honestly I thought more game should've more done this before. It's a very good way to subtly show the detail of the character and the world.

Why is Boston unhurt by the atomic bombs?

Las Vegas might be a special case since it was one of the most famous city in the US. Other cities that might received nukes close to that number is New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Boston should receives nukes smaller in number compared to those cities but clearly not...

As someone who started with Fallout 3, here are my thoughts on Fallout 4

Yeah, my breaking point for this is its voiced protagonist, and the leaked limited dialogue. Voiced dialogue in RPG is truly the bane of the genre. Unless the MC is already a premade character like Geralt.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

The Master Simulator? I'd play that :p

"Your not allowed to have a opinion of Fallout 4 if you didn't finish the game!"

It is depressing since people unironically used this line of argument as defense.

"Your not allowed to have a opinion of Fallout 4 if you didn't finish the game!"

I played Skyrim for 100 hours and I never hate any game with such passion before.

I... really, really like Fallout 4. Oh, god.

Nope, can't happen, won't happen. As much as Bethesda fans taking their freedom and agency as a digital crack, they can't do anything in a pure sandbox situation. There are already other open world games that focused almost purely on sandboxing and guess what? They don't sell. Despite the...

Why is Boston unhurt by the atomic bombs?

Las Vegas was targeted by 77 nukes. There's no way that the Chinese would only send ONE nuke to frikkin Boston.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

This THIS People can treat FO3/FO4 as digital crack if they want. But please stop calling their game the staple of open world, and don't even try on RPG. Bethesda being treated as second coming of jesus is what really gets on my nerves.

Main Questline: Better or worse than Fallout 3's?

I would say that both have equally mind numbingly stupid plot, if it's not for this guy article.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Before release I'm afraid that FO4 gonna hoard all the GOTY award. While I don't care about professional reviewers that much, it'll make me salty no doubt considering there are at least three other games (Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, MGSV) that should have their own share of award. But after all...

Main Questline: Better or worse than Fallout 3's?

By modern, I mean post-Shivering Isles Bethesda. Some of their stuffs in Oblivion and Shivering Isles still have some interesting tidbits in the writing. Makes me wonder if they fired writers that handle Oblivion since the fall of quality is drastic. From badly-decent to mind numbing.

If the Great War was fought without nuclear weapons?

Yeah, and we still don't know how far the Chinese was with their own biological research. Biological weapon apocalypse scenario sounds worse than a nuclear one considering that the weapon itself CAN evolve overtime.

Main Questline: Better or worse than Fallout 3's?

Don't try to understand Bethesda's modern writing. It'll give you a permanent IQ damage.

Fallout 4 Bible: Gospel of Anon

I like to enjoy my saltiness from reading bethesda fanboy posts, but that one is just straight up giving me stomachache. Nice video share by the way. The amount of dislike had me laughing like madman.
