Are we sure that the scale of Fallout 2’s map isn’t just bigger? The NCR of Fallout 2 is also closer to Vault 15 AND Vault 13 than the Shady Sands of Fallout is. And traveling on the map takes longer too. (I don’t know why they put Santa Clara on this one…) Looks like Vault 15 is 4 tiles away...

Nothing, I was just thinking it would be cool to have the option to use First Aid in combat. I think it would make First Aid a useful skill instead of just being Doctor but worse.

True. I guess I’d change it so that using First Aid takes around 20 seconds (essentially, it would cost your maximum AP to use and would skip your next turn). Or maybe there’d be a better way to do it that takes into account how many action points you have.

Is such a thing possible? As far as I know, skills cannot be used in combat (not from the skilldex, anyway). Is this hardcoded into the game? It seems to me like this would go a long way toward differentiating First Aid and Doctor.

I know I’m probably too late to this but: If you wear NCR armor I think the faction reset works on him so that you can get this quest. I love tricking him into killing Manny. Also, in case you didn’t know you can wipe out the NCR at Helios One and the Legion will take over.
