1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

Some of the hands on mentioned minor issues with the lip, eye and body movement. I'd expect that is what they are referring to polishing the dialogue. The post apocalyptic comment was more about how they can cut down on the number of NPCs without it feeling odd. Oblivion included thousands...

1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

Well you can assume it's level based but it is just that, an assumption. I think there is a context difference between sitting under waterfalls and carrying rocks and someone teaching you something techinical. But mine is just an assumption too.

    Polygamia editorializes on Fallout 3

What about the Panzer Dragoon games? 1. Was a rail shooter 2. Was a rail shooter 3. Was a JRPG 4. Was a rail shooter Is Panzer Dragoon Saga not a sequel to the first two games? Is Panzer Dragoon Orta not a sequel to Saga? They all have one storyline and most people rank the RPG as...

1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

He only says "you can't get it til later". That's could mean either level wise or story wise. I'd imagine that since it's Power Armor Training you have to be trained by someone and not just select it at level 12 or whatever.

PCZone and PCGamer Fallout 3 previews

See here is where the fundamental disconnect happens between NMA and the rest of the fallout fans/world. Some of Oblivion's mechanics are many many times better than the first two Fallouts. The stealth for instance I never really enjoyed all that well in F1/2 but in Oblivion there were...

1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

I'm pretty sure that's the chinese propaganda station that was mentioned at one point. More than likely running on a loop for the past 200 years but 5 guys in a shack somewhere convinced they are gonna get reinforcements from the motherland any day and take over the US could be amusing.

1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

Do we have any pictures or concept art of the old armor below the neck? The big difference from the sprites I see is that they reduced the huge shoulderpads / oversized back armor that go over the head. A full on 3d version of that could make that design look top heavy and ridiculous.

1UP's Fallout 3 Gameplay Video and Interview

I generally think 1up has the best gaming coverage, especially the former GFW guys, so I was quite happy when I saw half of yesterdays 1up Show was gonna be Fallout 3. As expected they got a lot more good info than most of the other places and the fact that they had previously played Fallout...

    Fallout 3 Hands-On #5

For whatever reason I'm not actually that worried about how companions will act in combat. I'm more concerned with how they will act when I'm trying to sneak by or when I try to run from combat. We will see I guess.

Polish Gry Online plays Fallout 3

I was thinking more of the stripped down Gort with the red star in the robot concept art pic. But yeah the three roller ones seen in gameplay could also be American.

What we know about the Chinese in Fallout 3: The skeletonized remains of a chinese commando was found (a US invasion of chinese commandos was to be part of Van Buren's back story) Many of the hostile robots seem to have large stars on them and may be chinese in origin A wartime...

Polish Gry Online plays Fallout 3

Yes, we know that if you use the right mouse button/left trigger to aim you are limited to walking speed. Bethesda is pretty widely considered to be an excellent RPG developer (don't get into your opinion I'm just saying popularly) with a strong sales record. If they pour millions of...

    Fallout 3 Hands-Ons #3

Because it's a different game trying a new mechanic. I think it being a constant hazard to monitor with occasion pockets of extreme radiation could end up being a neat mechanic. It could also end up being a pain in the ass that doesn't really add a lot to the game. I just think it's a bit...

    Fallout 3 Hands-Ons #2

I'm not a big fan of G4 but they were pretty much just setting Todd up so he could say "No, PC gaming is not dead" which he did.

Polish Gry Online plays Fallout 3

As far as I know, Fallout 1 and 2 combined only sold around a million copies. They were critically acclaimed and profitable but they didn't have that much market penetration. Anyway a few of the older gaming journalists are still around. Jeff Green for instance reviewed Fallout for Computer...

Polish Gry Online plays Fallout 3

Running backwards while shooting is more or less what I did in fallout when facing melee enemies. Take a shot and use the remaining points to make em waste all their AP chasing me. If you want to see what the animations during speech look like you can see a few in the background during...

    Fallout 3 Hands-Ons #3

So if fallout 1 took place 84 years after the bombs dropped thats 84 years * 356 days * 24 hours = 717696 hours since the end of the world. 7^6 = 117649 and 7^7 = 823543 so the radiation in Fallout 1 should be between 1/1,000,000 and 1/10,000,000 of what it was right after the war (though...

    Fallout 3 Hands-Ons #3

One would also expect that the radiation would be mostly harmless by the time of Fallout 1 and that a Mr. Nixon doll would have crumbled to dust well before Fallout 2. The Fallout series has always been like this in regards to stretching reality to make a more interesting game.

That's not really Bethesda's view so much as it's the Fallout view.
