    Portal 2

I recommend Far Cry (only the first one). Now that's a pretty long FPS. It took me about 20 hours, which that was on middle difficulty ("Challenging") and with a quicksave cheat.

    Portal 2

Come on now, you don't have to be a crazy awesome FPS player to finish HL2 within 10 hours worth of playtime. I'm merely above average myself.

    Portal 2

Dude, you are starting to scare me now... Are you serious? HL2 doesn't take more than 8-9 hours to finish. Shit, I could probably beat every single HL2 game AND HL1 within that time limit. Not it one session of course, but you know what I mean.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Is it confirmed? I borrowed my friend's 360 and finished Ballad of Gay Tony not long ago. Liked it a lot but also couldn't help but think how much better it could have been on PC, I'd be very glad if this port was made. Shooting with gamepad was very annoying, it's so much more fun with...

    Portal 2

Yeah Valve is well known for releasing those, right? I don't see any reason to suspect that, given that there isn't a single HL game of this length.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Breath of Fire 2 for SNES was one of my first ever JRPG's (along with Lufia 2). I still have fond memories of going fishing with my brand new fishpole in hopes of finally making some decent cash. I can't stand any JRPG today, but damn those were good times..

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Those are totally my thoughts.. I can't believe I sat in front of it for 30 minutes. I hope I won't ever go back to it.. I'm almost scared. What have you done Black.. I guess there are things in me I don't want to know about.

Aliens Vs. Predator (the 2010 fps, not the old one)...

Well at least it's not entirely useless then even if it doesn't make sense. I didn't know that as I am still doing Marine missions. Still they should have made it a "crouch" button, at least for marines and predators, inability to crouch is often annoying, especially when fighting Bishop's drones.

Aliens Vs. Predator (the 2010 fps, not the old one)...

No leaning is definitely a sign of consolification, but I'm not so sure other things you mentioned have anything to do with it not being PC exclusive. Lack of crouching seems to be there for some other mysterious (and stupid) reason, as there is a "walk" button (pretty useless by the way) that...

    Stalker: Call of Pripyat

You mean CS? Artifact hunting was pretty much the only thing I liked in CS so I'm very glad to have it in much superior CoP. Aside from better level design, I'd say it also has way more interesting quests.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I'm playing Call Of Pripyat now and I must say I'm impressed at how much more polished it seems compared to other STALKER games. Quest design seems a lot better too. Also, big maps with more interesting locations. It will probably turn out to be best vanilla STALKER game to date, this is...

    How Success Killed Duke Nukem

Agreed. Probably one of the worst games I've ever played. Also, Borderlands is really boring and it would've probably benefited from more RPG elements, not less. New Wolfenstein is crap too. I'm shocked you never heard of Painkiller, seeing as how you are a fan of kickass pure FPS action. That's...

Ratty counts down his favorite games

There's no way you can objectively measure entertainment value of a game. Different people are entertained by different aspects of games, and it will always be like that. What if some very hard and frustrating game is entertaining for someone precisely because of that and other person is unable...

Ratty counts down his favorite games

Favoring something personally isn't the same as seeing something as "close to perfection" objectively. It's the same thing BN had to repeat over and over in his list, no? VTM: Bloodlines would easily make it in my top 3, but would that mean I consider it being close to perfection? Of course...

    V:TM - Bloodlines

The point was - it's perfectly reasonable of Beckett to be sceptical in regards to Gehenna even if there are such things as ghosts and werewolfs in his world. He knew about existance of werewolfs and ghosts, latter even being quite common occurence for him, but he never witnessed a Gehenna...

    V:TM - Bloodlines

Maybe that's true for regular vampires but not for Beckett. He says himself how usual and unimportant for him are such things as ghosts. "I generally pay wraiths no mind" the line is if I remember correctly.

    V:TM - Bloodlines

You can build a very capable character in diplomacy area and still manage combat parts easily, I don't see what's such a big deal. It's just a matter of spending exp points wisely. Game is easy enough for that. Build your speech feats in the beginning and start pumping combat skills slowly once...

"Close Range" - The Ultimate Face Shooter

It's not exactly taken too far. Just one additional joke that doesn't last much longer than first one. People with crashes can watch it here instead of "playing" it. Way funnier than Onion spoof it was based on, I think.

"Close Range" - The Ultimate Face Shooter

What the hell.. Quite a few of my friends played it and didn't have any problems.
