That's right. But you don't have to delete your savegames and start from the beginning. Just load a savegame that you have before you first entered the location (Enclave reactor room for an example), install Update 1 and enter it. You should all be fine.

The 1.05 patch has the Holy Hand Grenade fix in it but does not increase your chance of finding it like the standalone one does. This is exactly the update that Per suggests in his guide that is in the 1.05. The Update 1 needs to be installed over the 1.05 version. Is that clear?

If you're in Vault City then don't use the guide either. You got quite a long way before you... The Update 1 fixes game crashing while exiting the... hmm... some place and adds a certain item that has been remove in the 1.05 version accidentally.

From what I remember, Per stated in his guide that the perk descriptions are bad or something so I changed them. It's just text changed - they work as they did before.

You can take Torr's quest to guard the brahmin and the Dunton's will be on the grazing map. You can kill them there and no one will care.

Make sure that the .pro files in the data\proto\items and data\proto\critters are set to Read only. That should fix the booze and armor problem. Party members change thier appearance when wearing armor. Trust me. I've completed the game day ago with Sulik in power armor and Vic in combat...
