The balance in SP is nothing a normal player will notice. In MP there is different story. The two new races in DC, TAU and Necrons are overpowered. And Imperial Guards is the weakest of them all. But most of the imba is a consecvense of bugs and not imba. Kinda sad really. Haven't tried it...

I think the 8800 series is a good choice even tho i normally prefer ATi. At this time ATi have nothing to throw against the 8800 series. They do have some nice shit in development, the R600 aka x2800xt. This card have been said to have ~30% more efficiency compared to 8800. So obviously...
