    All About Arcanum

I do believe they're all stand alone. But I never could get any to work for some reason. If you're looking for something to add to the main game, try Polished Carcanum if you haven't already.

Ironically, the theme of Fallout is that society *has* failed.

You could subject innocent school children to excruciating napalm burning death in Invisible War..

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

I know what a bloody strawman is. I asked how was I strawmanning you. It *contradicts* Fallout 1 + 2 and Bethesda is contradicting them for no reason whatsoever. I don't care if it's a series of 2 or 2 million. Many, many aspects of this universe have been established, and their cars not...

NWN2 disagrees with you. Hey, guess what was the most popular game format, especially for RPGs back then? FPP. Daggerfall ring any bells?

    Gamespot user soapbox

You mean like Todd Howard, who has made FPP games every single time he's been the producer or project leader?

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

How so? It is very much part of it. I don't care what comic books do or don't do. As far as I'm aware they have shitty continuity. Fallout however doesn't. It has good continuity, and I don't like it being twisted by Bethesda. Junktown would be a crater, for one.

So what? They're obviously stable as they don't explode when you're hit. And the car uses the same exact ones. Do they erupt into nuclear explosions? No? Then that's completely irrelevant.

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

That explanation is immediately rendered void by the fact that the Highwayman in Fallout 2 used the exact same power source as military grade ray guns. It does affect the old features. It's also unecesarry. And don't give me the "car explosions are fun!" argument. That's entirely relative...

Timeslip Fallout 1 and 2 engine tweaks

Timeslip is the man. He's done some incredible work on improving Morrowind and Oblivion's engines. I'm glad he took a look at F2's.

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

I'm telling you why it is major. You couldn't shoot cars in Fallout 1 + 2, but you *could* shoot people in Power Armour, which are powered by fusion generators. Ever see them explode? Wrong. in 50's Science! Fusion power is safe, clean and reliable. Exploding fusion cells go directly...

Inside the Vault - Christopher Krietz

"Quality Assurance".. I ought to slap him. My Oblivion character was ruined by the Shivering Isles item # bug he missed.

Because they don't. Logically, they have their parts stripped. But then logically, the cars in Fallout 3 should have their parts stripped but no! Every single one still has a working power source. What? It didn't let you because that'd be, you know, stupid. You also miss the point that...

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

If Tolkien had written LotR today you can bet it'd be full of Cybermen and gas stations. And those gas stations would EXPLODE and.. and.. the Cybermen would say "fuck" a lot.

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

Scorched earth, man! Watch those Commies blow themselves up when they attack America's glorious army of walking bombs. So basically your argument is: 1) Some unrealistic things in Fallout means any unrealistic thing can be in Fallout regardless of continuity, or common sense. 2) Stupid...

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

By the way, not only do exploding fusion power sources violate the continuity of Fallout 1 + 2, but if the Power Armour in Fallout 3 doesn't explode in a similar fashion when hit then they're violating their own continuity! Hey, bonus!

27 Things About Fallout 3... and then some.

Continuity is irrelevant? New canon? Hey if they added faeries, magic powers and laser swords that'd be "new canon" too. But would it follow continuity and "be" Fallout? Hell no. Bobbleheads = part of the main game. Not a special encounter. Seeing as how the developers called them...

I did. I know it was asked before. But you didn't answer it to my satisfaction, so I asked it again. Continuity > kool explosions.
