Ouch, that sucks. Didn't know that. Sorry. I found that the absolutely best and most comfortable position when playing, especially for a longer period, is seated on a bar stool. Easy on the back, legs, arms, everything.

What position are you playing in? Maybe it's hanging too low? I've never had back issues. Occassional wrist pain though...
