Hi all, I've been struggling recently to get the Combat Control to work properly for a new companion NPC. I'm not sure I fully grasp how AI.txt, NPC Protos, and Party.txt interact to provide those options. I've tried searching the various pinned guides here as well as the Fallout Mods wiki...

Nevermind, twice in a row here I fixed my issue after posting for help, lol. Had to use the Dat explorer to extract all my dats to the /data folder in the main Fallout 2 directory. Maybe my stumbling through baby's first modding will help other total newcomers...
