Yeah, full control over companions is pretty overpowered. They can equip a weapon in both slots, position themselves so their burst weapons do maximum damage to maximum amount of enemies without hitting any allies, take cover, and engage/not engage in combat whenever you want. It is fun though...

It really didn’t do anything with Fallout 2’s lore except as it relates to Fallout 1’s lore. But as far as New Vegas goes, saying Shady Sands got nuked in 2277 really messes with New Vegas’s timeline which takes place a few years later.

I agree with everything else you said but in the original movie the Alien only abducts one person (Dallas? The captain, I forget his name) to bring back to the “nest” (or rather, to start a new nest). Also, it’s a deleted scene.

This is kind of like what I thought Wasteland 3 was setting up when I first started playing it. Unfortunately they didn’t really follow through on that concept.
