Oh I see, I thought that the discussion was about that

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

I use windows 7 x64, and Fallout installs by default on C:\Program Files\, but I don't have any of those UAC issues because mine is turned off. So I think it's a bad idea to put the installer to install by default on Program Files(x86) :P Also can't wait for RP to come out !

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

I vote for keeping the posters as it adds athmosphere to the game, when I first played this version of RP I was like, "was this already here from vanilla game?". I don't see why anyone can be offended by those posters but opinions are opinions :)

    Windows 7 Fallout 2 problem

Well I'm using Windows 7 x64 and ddraw.ini is in the default directory (C:\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2)

    Windows 7 Fallout 2 problem

The best solution that I see here is that you uninstall the game (even deleting Fallout's folder) and re-install with Humongous installation and then apply Killap's patch and then configuring like Valcik said above. I never used Killap's patch alone (without Restoration Project) so I really...

It isn't a bug, I think you're doing it wrong. Can't remember that well (my playthrough was some time ago) but I think you have to use repair on computer in the room to the right of Holograms' room. Of course you have to meet the repair requirements

[Fallout 1] What determines chance to get a Random Encounter

I played with SFall and restoration project (latest version). But when I got to Broken Hills I already got the car, still the only encounters I had were Kaga ones and 2 with highwaymen or robbers by the time I arrived Vault City in the first place.

[Fallout 1] What determines chance to get a Random Encounter

I understand your point, but still I'm only saying this because I've played Fallout 2 with having a max of 5 encounters with raiders, highwaymen, robbers through out the whole game. Also my char had like 6 or 7 luck being the highest skill perception with 9 and very low outdoorsman. I have low...

[Fallout 1] What determines chance to get a Random Encounter

Actually I think this fits Fallout 2, civilization is already building and there are places full of scum (The Den) so it's more likely that they try to ambush people full of loot or just for the sake of ambushing. I didn't had that many encounters in Fallout 2 though.

Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project Discussion (ideas/suggestions)

Hmm, do you know what the gizmo is for? The only place that I can think of (because of Winblows reference) is the Abbey's computer.. Maybe the monks have filled up their hard drives and need a new one to store more knowledge? Just a thought here. :P

    Cross platform fallout

I don't think so, it's objective is to be run on Linux instead of Windows :)

[FO2] Can't save during the combat

My bad Timeslip , since I didn't had any issue with saving on combat I thought it was to make the game more tactical (well it's a side effect isn't it :P). And I know you don't force people to game certain way because Sfall is very customizable which people can choose what they want or...

Same here, I was so thrilled hoping for some Fallout Online news and then it was that advertisement :|

[FO2] Can't save during the combat

I think SFall (which comes with RP) removes saving on combat, you can only save when you don't spend any action points. This was implemented to force players to use a more tactical approach instead of just loading and saving. So the only option you've got is save before combat or save when you...

    What defines 'Fallout' for you?

Thanks for the correction, that sets it right :P. Also Shihonage your post really explained what I feel about Fallout 1/2, and I'm not saying that 3 or NV are bad games it's just that I don't consider them Fallout games, it doesn't feel like Fallout  .

    What defines 'Fallout' for you?

Isometric view is what defines Fallout, it's what should've been with FO3, because it's more immersive and I prefer it over the first person in Fallout 3

    New animations 2

Well it's one more NPC anyway :P , is it me or the skin tone from the face is different than the chest one? Also this animation is not very good, you can see some black hair when she is finished kicking

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

In FO2 is unusual because if you burst and hit Sulik or another follower they won't turn against you, so I believe that might be a team issue

    What defines 'Fallout' for you?

Not all RPG's have choice and consequence but I understand your point of view and I defend the isometric graphics too, simply because I think that Fallout 3 and New Vegas would be a LOT better with isometric graphics (updated of course, like Van Buren). We all have our ways to see a perfect game :)
