Without much spoilers, the DLC won't be just about lost relatives, gloomy fog and radiation. If i'd spoiler anything, you'd just start to complain about.
From what i have seen, you aren't forced to bring Valentine to the island, but can bring other companions, also take the new companion to Commonwealth.
It is gonna be bigger, than Shivering Isles, but yeah, the amount of content is questionable.
There will be trappers, there will be traps, tacticool marine shit, harpoon gun and Russians among you will laugh their asses off.

The unlockable hairstyles look a bit silly, imo. But anyway, there's nothing that can't be added with mods.
At least, long hairstyles are available and are rigged/animated.
I don't hate the soundtrack, together with the performance of Lynda Carter as Magnolia.
I also don't hate the NPC design and Automatron DLC as robutt construction kit.
The only good "up"date for Wasteland Workshop is the Homemaker mod.
Otherwise, the purchase of Wasteland Workshop should grant access to a free DLC that adds all the other crafting items, sans charge, as 0wing suggested.
In enjoyed XRE a lot - and even to think about it, the map wasn't even built for vehicles.
When one clear the streets from wrecks in Commonwealth, i imagine the pleasure of navigating on streets.
I see Germany being pretty mediaval in Fallout. There are castles being refurbished to fortresses, with minion folk tending to their landlords. Old cities like Rottweil are surrounded by walls - all civilized life is outside the big metropols, as they were kept compact enough and weren't hit by...
