First time out of the vault
Okay..First Q is-What format is needed to convert .til files to ones that F2 can use? .til files are the file tiles off of Fallout Tactics for those who dont know.Any help

Question two is... How to make critters? i know it is done in the same way as scenery and such....but for some reason it will not let me choose my file..even after adding it to the critters.Ist

Thanks in advance

Are you talking about making the new art work for a critter or the critter's proto within the mapper?

I havent made any new tiles, but I assume that they are in FRM format like all the other art work in FO2

..

Yes, Addin new artwork for a proto..and about the tiles

i am trying to convert the Fallout Tactics tiles into F2 files..is there an easy way to convert to an FRM? as .til -> FRM

I just tryed to find something at Team-X and I cant seem to locate one.

Does any one know if there is a command line tool to *.Til conversion?

Maybe Til to Bmp or Til to Gif?

I can write a small batch file that would run it in conjunction with Gif to Frm easy enough.

But I think you made need to use Red viewer and do them one at a time.

To understand why there is no TIL->FRM conversion mechanism, simply look at both in Red!Viewer. Basically, the "cutout" isn't the same in both games and simply "skewing" and/or "rotating" the image won't solve the problem.

It would be possible to create some weird converter that takes each pixels and map the to a proper place, but that'd be a lot of work. Another solution would be to render them in 3D and apply the rotation to the polygon.

Both solutions are rather complicated to code for rather little reward.
