28 Days Later

John Uskglass

Venerable Relic of the Wastes
I finally saw it. I kind of liked it, but there are some things I did not get.

For instance, it appears that these things are remarkable social animals, for being so mean to things that are not infected. But here is what I was thinking. There are rather good treatments for some very serious diseases. For instance, the ebola virus could be given treated for non-infected, yet would kill infected at a tremendous rate. Or smallpox, or perhaps a disease that would limit thier energy (some kind of super-fever), so that, when a cure is found they could be treated.
Kind of like treating fires by setting smaller fires in front of them.

Also, 20 seconds? What is that, some kind of speed-of-light virus?

Also, what are the four alternate endings?

One of the endings was that the guy gets killed and they go to a hospital but they can't save him, another one is the guy gets killed and they do the ending with the jet without him, and the last one is a storyboard and its like, they don't kill the father when he gets infected, instead they wrap him up and constrain him and there are no soldiers.

Instead they go to this hospital place where theres a guy who knows how to treat it and you treat it by complete blood transfusion, so the main character guy gives all his blood to the dad and he becomes a zombie but the girl and dad are reunited and all that.

That's kind of a crappy ending. I think they main character should have died and they end it with the two female characters leaving the hospital. That's enough for me.

I really liked 28 Days later, especially the beginning part. But I was expecting a bit more. Probably too much hype.
