3d studio max tutorials

I just picked up a copy of 3d studio max. Can anybody recommend some really good tutorials on learning the base fundamentals?

I've visted a few sites on the web, but most seem to assume you have a some background in 3d modeling already.
 
Doesn't the manual contain a tutorial of some sort? Come to think of it, do you even have a manual, or did you "pick up a copy" at some torrent site? If so, I have 200+ MB worth of manuals I can't send you.
 
Oh? Well, in that case check out some torrent sites. I bet you will find a ton of books on 3D modelling there. That's how I obtained the manuals.

And if you are looking for a crack for the trial version (come on now, you know you want it...), check *censored name of an evil communist pirate site*.
 
get your hands on a full version of it, you'll find that the tutorials there are a lot more useful and a LOT more easy to find... :wink:
 
You can probably find what you're looking for at the local bookstore, then write-off the cost as a business expense since you're (iirc) unemployed now.
