3D thoughts

So, just wondering what is everyone's thought on the engine to be used if/when Fallout 3 comes out? I would like to believe that everyone will give the wave to 3d as the 2d scene though nice is becoming rather dated, especially with the current capabilities of 3d gaming. And if you figure it would take 2 years to develop FO3, buy then 3d will be unbelievably amazing.

The 3D should not be the center attraction for Fo3. I believe that the 3D engine should only provide better means by which BIS can produce a better RPG, e.g. it should throw down the limitations imposed by a sprite-engine.
