Yeah, really. In quake3, my '/com_hunkmegs' setting is 192. That means that 192 megs of ram is allocated for q3 only

Definitely not an outrage:

I have 64 MB in my video card alone.

In my secondary gaming station, I have three sticks of 128 MB. My main has 768 MB of RAM.

Overkill, guaranteed, but I have a lot going on with my machine. But 128 MB of RAM is ESSENTIAL for any new gaming today.

BoS demo runs pewfectly smoof on my ancient 366 celeron w/ 64mb ram

quake3 also runs smoof on medium settings, UT runs exceptionally well on medium settings at 800x600


128 is GOOD 64 is Minimum..i'll agree to that
