Well I've been screwing around in Dosbox lately and for a while, I've always kept my directories at a maximum of five characters because that is the maximum until it says [dir]~1.
Now, I'm curious, how come I can't go further than that?
I keep all of my old DOS games in a folder called Games but I want to call it Classic Games, it won't let me unless I add "~1" at the end of half of the title. What does the "~1" mean?
And is there any way where I can make the folder Classic Games without running into the problem?
