a good vehicle idea

Not bad but ...

what about NPC's. I mean when you have a motorcycle you probably only going to be able to take one NPC with you even if your charisma is 10. I just can't imagine having 5 NPC's when you run around on one motorcycle. This could be solved though if you are able to buy more then one cycle.

Of all the vehicles, a motorcycle should be one of the only ones that the character should get. That car in Fallout 2 should've been replaced with one.

What about the trunk you say? Well personally, I think guns and ammo should be so rare you really don't need a trunk, but instead a hideout or something.

The bikes should also be bastardized versions made from old cars. Don't expect to find a harley around. Also since gas is scarce, fuel, in the form of alchohol should be used (there is a purpose to distilled whiskey).

And to transport your buddies, maybe a max of two per bike so you'd have to purchase more.

Not to mention motorcycles are much easier to repair and keep running than cars. It's much more likely that a person with some limited knowledge could get a motorcycle working than it is a fusion powered car. ;)

One thing I've always wondered is why vaults don't have vehicles. Seems to me that having a garage of some sort with several working general purpose vehicles in them would have been a good thing to add during the design work. You know it's going to be more difficult to get a car working on the outside than it is to maintain one on the inside.

Also, anything think it's funny that the car advertised in Fallout, the Corvega I think it was called, had the claim to fame that it had no electronics.. Yet in Fallout 2, you get a Highwayman, which is a fusion powered car. Yup, after a nuclear war, it's easier to get the fusion powered motor car running than it is to get that internal combustion car running. ;)

maybe if you could by more bykes you could have your npc`s post-nuclear hell-angels style, with cool jackets and highways...but i´m not sure what you could with your inventory, the car trunk really helps...

RE: Not bad but ...

forget the npc's they can walk! no but it would be fun to get several bikes and cruise around but as for npc's like sulik they deserve to walk!

i agree, but perhaps it would be better to use banks , like in other new rpg`s(you could even become a bank robber, sneaking or blasting everyone-they could have important parts,et coetera...)
