A Little Clarity

First time out of the vault
Since I`m somewhat of a newcomer here, I`m not exactly sure this is the right place to adress such matters but hey, whatever.

Anyway, greetings!

I`m a rather fanatical Fallout follower myself, although I`m not exactly connected to the whole cult thing. So I`ve come to the point where it`s rather impossible to understand what exactly is going on with ( you guessed it!) Fallout 3.

If some helpful samaritan would be so kind as to clear the whole situation, it would be appreciated. Here goes!

What was the company who planned to release F3 - Van Buren. If they were not Interplay, who in the recent past has seemiongly done their best to f**k up the whole franchise, how did they get the rights.

And if it was Interplay, was it perhaps a subcompany or watever it`s called nowadays. As in Black Isle?

Who are these Bathesta guys? Are there any original Fallout team members aboard?

Have any other companies been interested in the rights? I`ve seen some pretty interesting screenshots out there that looked like BOS Tactics but felt like an RPG.

And if I have indeed posted this in the wrong place, could the moderators bee so kind as to put it where it belongs and inform me via Private Message regarding it`s new location.

in case no one else has responeded to you silently, its the board under this one that has 'fallout 3' in the title

as i understand it...

Interplay approved and cancelled fallout 3 multiple times while they were struggling with financial problems... durring this process, BI was all but disbanded and the project was finally just cancelled

Bethesda decided to buy/lease the rights to the fallout series with plans to release fallout 3

1) Read the News first.
2) Read the Fallout 3 forum.
3) Post in the Fallout 3 forum.

Moved to the correct forum.

Van Buren was beeing made by Black Isle Studios, the RPG division of Interplay. Interplay canceled the game and BIS doesn`t exist anymore.

No one at Bethesda worked at any Fallout game. You can find more on them going here

Several.
