A little something about turnbased combat

I would like to know what all the CONS are, to turnbased combat...

if there is a list that is in the forums, please excuse me for being new... and NO i will not go through every single posting and read every single one.... becuase well would YOU do that?!?!?!?!

ya, i thought so... anyway, please post cons to turn-based combat or a link to this information.

1. It's not realtime and thus doesn't require your skill or fast thinking, however, this is a Roleplaying game, so it should rely on your characters possibilities, not yours.

2. It can be unrealistic(Stand behind corner, walk out, shoot, walk back), or weird due to sequencing.

And that's all I know.

And why do you need to know?

I don't think there is any definitve list but it has been discussed on the BIS forums. Everyone has their opinions on it, the best way to analyze it is to play several games with each style.

Since both of the old Fallout RPGs had TB, I'm assuming this is more a Fallout 3/general thread.. ie moved..

This is not completely unrealistic, but i see what your getting at.

I think the biggest flaw to TB combat is that it might slow the game down (which would suck if your playing a game with excessive combat).
