Now you probably have no idea who I am. You probably don't care. In fact, the whole concept of a ghetto town is probably the only reason why you've even opened this silly topic. And yet, there is truth in all this.
I'm working on a film which will actually be broadcasted on one of those local network channels that nobody ever takes seriously. But hey, its still being broadcasted. And yet its going to be something insane! Its the Ghetto Town Super Heroes a live action sattire that sort of combines Seinfeld with the 60's Batman sitcom.
Ghetto Town is basically the stupid town that everyone had to go to high school at. It looks like the slums, its known for the druggies, the whores, the crazy old men that attack you with lead pipes if you tread on their lawn. The people are miserable as they walk about the streets. The youths spend their days playing b-ball or the nerds sit around making posts in post apocalyptic message boards. Its basically where you live.
And the super heroes are just normal people, yet they want to make things better. Yet with names such as the ones they have and with villains being the people from your childhood nightmares such as that one creepy janitor in junior high who you swore was really Freddy Kreuger, you'll know that there's something special with the heroes from the Ghetto.
Anyways, I'll probably be posting pictures, costume art, a possible script for the pilot episode, and of course I'll put the finished pilot on the web for everyone's viewing pleasure. I'm going for something that's about 15 minutes long. Short and sweet to the point. And don't worry there will be plenty of action and philosophical crap to make you roll your eyes.
And who knows, maybe I'll make a few extra episodes. We have some in mind. Anyways, if you, for some reason, would have any questions about why I'm doing this, or what the heck I'm talking about, ya might as well just throw it up on me. If ya have any ideas for a ghetto super hero satire, just toss em up to me.
You can catch me at Wolfsbane@attbi.com or you can just talk to me in this topic.
Anyways, this is just one of those things that I'm excited about ya know? I'll start filming in late spring.
