So many places, so many centers, so many people, so many deaths. The wasteland is a fitting home for a species as stupid as us. On my shoulders I carry the burden of humanity, its suffering, its pain, it hope, its hatred. What I have I done to deserve this? I, like a Jesus of the Wasteland am shunned and stoned by the very people I have tried to save. why, why, why, WHY! Because I must, because humanity cannot take care of it self yet, it needs a teacher, a mother, a father, a friend, an enemy, I am all those things, I sacraficed tecahers, mothers, fathers, and friends, to become one to Humanity, I sacraficed MYSELF to help humanity, and what do I get in return, SPITE! and hatred and cruelty. But, it was my choice to do this, mine and mine alone, perhaps if I had knowen or understood what would come with it I might have choosed differently, but in the end I know I made the right choice. The whole is more important than the self but the self makes up the whole. I gave myself up long ago, and I can never, WILL never look back, I will go forward and never look back, I will always go forward....

That is my semi-poem, I hope you enjoy it, please tell me what you think.

Well, it does make sense, but it isn't a poem. In a sense, it's when a character is talking to himself onstage, telling us important details, but the other actors don't know what he's saying. It's ok, I guess.

That is not dead which can eternal
lie, and with strange eons even
death may die.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Nov-06-00 AT 09:59PM (GMT)[p]Good point, but one problem, this is not a play, I was worried that people might think it was a, whats the word, ah! an aside I believe. an aside. So I added the beginning and end part (to the west...). The paragraph form symbolizes continuous thought process for those of you who may think I am writing in the "wrong" poetic style. Anywho, thanks for the advice, I shall think upon it next time I write, ever improving my writing skills.

Every written word is a poem, every spoken word is a poem, every thought is a poem. Grammer and structure concerns are for the idiot english teachers of the world. That, is a poem, and a good one at that too, GJ Skynet.
