im wondering if anoyone on these messageboards has any info on violence and computer games and its effects on gamers(any age)...I'd appreciate if any of you had any info, in either English or Norwegian..Or if anyone knows or has any statistics about it or some such...
 
Ok this might not look to usefull because i dont realy have any info
on the topic specificaly - But id sudgest you look into Censeorship and im sure you would find alot about Violence in the Medie, in general. Violence in films shouldnt be far from the subject...the difference between Watching/Enacting violence on a Screen.

Jesus. I did a report on this on Half-Life back when I was still doing study...

Want me to paste it up? I even bothered to survey 10 whole live people!!

ThHere's a good article about the issue from the US Congress somewhere though. Not sure who has it. Official Congress site I think, did a report into it.
 
yeah, post it. I might be interested in this topic, too. I have to decide on a sociology/psycology topic so this might help out. Thanks in advance
 
can you please post the links then?this has become an agenda once again with gta3+4 and SOF2 and Postal 2 which will come out in a few months...worlds most violent game......the screenshots were nasty....

EDIT: Good news and bad news. Good news is I found the original project specs. Bad news is I can't for the bloody life of me find the report. Either I took it out of the folder sleeve and put it somewhere else, or I never got it back from the teacher.

If I do manage to find it, I'll let you know. In the meantime, try google and see if you can come up with that congress report.
