A question about FIME - please help!

The problem with FIME(v 1.1) is when i change AC or DR mod of ammo, their value in the game shows up as 65535 or something close to that, and the shots do no damage.

The bigger problem is, when i edit, say, the dmg mod of 14mm AP and don't touch the AC or DR mod, i still get 65536 (in DR i think). This seems to happen with ammo that has negative AC/DR mod values - changing the dmg mod of BB's(0 AC/DR) worked fine.

Does FIME save the files incorrectly? Any cure for this?

And a related question - is there any other editor for items except FIME? Or a newer version of FIME?

Any help would be violently appreciated :)

I noticed this also. I'm certainly no expert, but what I found was that FIME wasn't writing negative modifiers correctly. In the case of the -50 DR mod for 14mm, FIME would write 0000FFCE instead of FFFFFFCE, and the game would read it as 65486 instead of -50. This seems to happen to negative modifiers if any changes are made to an item and saved with FIME.

The solution I've been using, and there's probably an easier fix I don't know about, is to use a hex editor to go in and add two pairs of F's before any negative values after I use FIME on an item.

Thanks! This does seem to be the problem, although i think i found an easier way to deal with it - use FIC. Bigger, better, less buggy.
