A strange item, need answers!

My brother plays F2 with the 1.05 unofficial patch.

So, he doesn't remember picking it up from anywhere, but he has like a red square item in his inventory and SOMETIMES it appears in his cars trunk. This item has a question mark on it and when it appears in his inventory, the weight of the whole his inventory is like 1 million in minus. So wtf is this item? Somekind of bug?

The item also appears as... a dead fish sometimes. Im confused, because i've never seen anything like that in f2.

Any clues?

Hmmm...well when you see such an item that usually means you picked up part of a bookshelf or the items found on top of the tables. These items weigh an insane amount (either insanely high or insanely low) and picking them up are a result of just the way the developers decided to create bookcases and tables. (they are actually multiple pieces rather than just one whole piece and therefore it is possible to pick part of it up by mistake) Technically one can call this a bug but it cannot be fixed. Just drop the item somewhere and you will be fine. (preferably out in the desert somewhere)

you know, i dont belive that there is one. at least, i havnt seen one in the Fallout II level editor.

thats the only place that iv seen any kind of a list of them, so there may be and its just not available without some super-special calling.
