It just occurred to me that I'd really like a game playing in Battle Angel Alita's setting.

Well, there is GUNNM: Memories of Mars (Gunnm was the original title). Of course, I believe it was only released in Japan, and for the original Playstation at that.
You could always hope that the upcoming James Cameron film will generate interest for a new game. Then further hope that it would actually be a good game and that the setting won't be bastardized by the movie.
