Abaddon Setting Refocused

Abaddon, a post-apocalyptic game project by Gerard Prudhomme, has recently had its setting dramatically shifted. While the game world remains post-apocalyptic, it is now inspired by the American Civil War. As Gerard updated:
I had an epiphany the other day, while watching the Sergio Leone Man with No Name Trilogy "For a Fistful of Dollars", "For A Few Dollars More", and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".

The characters (Joe, Blondie, Manco, Tuco, Angel Eyes, etc.) are all very realistic and motivated by human desires.

In addition to that the setting, the Civil War era and the look and feel were very inspirational to me, so I decided to take the tropes and memes from the Western setting and merge them with the post-apocalyptic setting.

Well, anyway, welcome to the new Abaddon, check out the setting and information, plus some new artwork for the new settings.
This change has resulted in the complete change of factions, characters, map, and backstory (aside from the original apocalypse). In addition, the website has been redesigned to reflect this shift in setting.

He is working really fast if he created those models on a couple of days. Though the textures look a little sloppy, the game as a whole might widen the genre a lot.

Reminds me of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. The main character was a gunslinger on a quest. Set in a post-apolytic /alternate universe kind of thing. A very good read.

Reminds me of the "Planet of the Apes".

I mean, the guys face.

Other than that, nice.

i love the man with no name-trilogy. the game concept sounds very interesting to me and the mixture of western and post apocalyptic setting looks fresh.

reminds alot of what i think a deadlands crpg would look like. does anyone know anything about the deadlands for pc? i looked around a bit and couldn't find much on it. so would it be safe to assume it was scrapped while still in developement?
