when ever i equip advanced power armor and a weapon my game freezes, as long as i dont have a weapon out im fine. however horribly inconveinced by not being able to attack anything, with the exception of a plasma rifle and unarmed attacks.. and respectively enclave patrols freeze up when they attack as well, but the game waits 10 seconds and skips their turns (slow free kills).. iv tried re installing a few times but no luck, is there some way i can get the missing character poses, or chang the look of A. power armor to something else to bypass this??? if so how (speak slowly... i dont speak modder)

I think that your CRITTER.DAT game files might have gotten corrupted. Have you tried the simplest thing - reinstalling Fallout?
They probably mess it up because your critter.dat is damaged. Try copying it from the CD to your harddisk, it might be able to read it. Otherwise, you'll have to get another copy of the game.

Last time I checked, they were like 10 bucks on Ebay... and it sounds like a damaged disk to me. Happened to me with FOT... which is (or perhaps was) notably more expensive.

You can try to read the files from the CD using ISOBuster. It got a slow read method and is able to recover files from CD's who are almost unreadable:
