As they put it, Afterfall team's dark wild times with their web server are over, they are back on track to presenting their first tech-demo:<blockquote>Intoxicate Interactive is back!
After a rough patch with the server, II comes back in full force! In the course of the last three months, the team was reinforced by over a dozen of very talented artists and programmers. You can see their work at the resurrected site of the main II product - Afterfall.

Today, you can find there a new batch of concept-arts, renders and screenshots. The latter come from the Tech-Demo, which is being finished as you read this. Fans will find information concerning future plans and a presentation, which will enable to move into a more advanced level of negotiations with potential publishers.

You are welcome to visit our site and keep track of our work. Another update is bound to happen soon!

I would guess the objects are set for the Afterfall Prelude, which will take place in a German military base. So there might be mutant nazis.

Don't know about the final game, though.

Might be Nazi Mammoths.

Looks cool, not what I expected. If they do all those things they promised to do with the game, it's gonna be the shit.

Graphically I like where it's heading (becoming better and better)..but the setting (it was post-apoc...i think...a while back) is heading too much into Resident evilish Strogg mayhem. I like Resident evil, and well quake fills a gap (not mine) for some, but combining those into one and same...well I personally ain't too sure about that.

We already have that stuff...in the same manner too (technically speaking, game engines etc.). Something new boys...

frissy: Prelude is going to be resident evil like and those locations are for Prelude. I think that everything is heading exactly where it was planned to. The Prelude was said to be like survival horror and it does look like it, so i trust the AF to not be different. Besides, the screens are to show the graphics ;]

Read my previous post and do some research, what I'm suspecting is that those models etc. are made for the Prelude, which will be more survival-horror and less post-apocalypse than the actual game.

because this screens are from AF:Prelude - this mini-game (our tech demo) has different setting than the full AF game will. it has more survival-horror elements. so yes, it has something common with resident evil. the full Afterfall game will be definitely more "classic" post-apo rpg.
Prelude has different "profile" because we want to make one full game, not just demo (short one, but complete). also with this setting and gameplay it would be faster to finish it - so we could look for money for full game earlier.

EDIT: oh, i was writing this post far too long - i started before the last two replies :P

Actually Prelude will be something You can call "a post apocalyptic, role playing survival horror" ;P It is cRPG with climate post-apo and horror mixed together. Action of the game is placed also in the world of Afterfall, something about 20 years before Afterfall action starts.

Those creatures are so specific, because they mutated from the same reason.
