Age of Decadence Overview #2

Morbus

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Once again, Vince brought us a little something about The Age of Decadence through the Watch: the second part of the "Let's Play AoD" thread exposition. Lot's of screenshots, lots of info.
Where were we? Our brave assassin returns to the guild and reports that the mission is completed successfully and that the late merchant Gracius is on his way to the underworld. :salute:
Read on!

Thanks Jedi_Learner

wow just wow ... if it turns as half as good as they put the example here we might have a great rpg on our hands. :D

Thanks, guys. Actually the rest is much better. When I started the thread I wanted to show the assassin questline, which I'd rate at 12/10, but the forumites decided to see different things.

Well, that's why the "let's play..." is the best way to present a game. It shows people what they want to see, not what developers want to show.

Maybe you should start to sell the damn game instead of doing "haha, look what do I have and how awesome it is, but no, you can't have it, haha!" ? Just a thought.

Argh, that reminds me of G3's Invincible Pig Dog Boars of Death, which in combat would... uh... michaeljackson away from your PC for a few seconds then leap, chewing through your plate armor and effectively killing you in under a second. The attack had a distinctive sound, it was something along the lines of "GHRRWHAAP(lag)P(lag)P(lag)P"

Subsequently, you had to wait for at least five minutes until the damn game loaded your last save

lol...did you see the combat video? "Say hello to my little friend!"
Kind of an Easter Egg/Obscure reference there. As I said in our newspost AFAIR.

Very nice presentation, I like how this game is shaping up and most of all how you guys decide to market it. Hats off for you, it feels so refreshing to read about games without heraing how awsum it is.

Only 7 endings though.. Looks thin compared to FO3's 200+, but hey that's to be expected when you're not dealing with professional developers..
