First time out of the vault
Hi, I'm having problem finding the air purifier, I done the wright family quests and I told them that renesco sold the jet to their son that died, so now renesco is gone and I cant find that damn air purifier.
Does someone know were I could find it?

Oops! If Renesco is gone you can't actually get the needed parts. You have 3 options:

1. Revert to an earlier save.

2. Shrug and pass that quest off as one of probably several things that will have to wait for your next game.

3. Turn a useless item in your inventory into the mine parts using the inventory editor, pretending to have done things in the right order. Optionally drop a few thousand chips in the desert to balance your karma.

Dear me, playing Fallout with editor help to complete a quest? tsk tsk tsk. Whats the point of playing the game if your just going to cheat your way to what you want?

Save often,
Load if you cock up,
See what happens when you complete the game. There is now RIGHT way to do things in Fallout, thats why its so great.

I'll have to mildly agree with you on that Tycell (and I say mildly because it is hard to fully agree with someone who spells their handle in "1337"). It would be more fun if you couldn't complete a quest not critical to the game, so you would have to go back and play it again to complete all the quests you learned about beforehand. Although, if you could not complete a quest in the game due to a programming bug, that's just not fair.

POTENTIAL SPOILER BELOW

There are benefits to not killing Renesco. These benefits can only be taken advantage of during the same dialogue screen right after you agree to help him. Once you close the screen, the benefits are gone. I can't say whether this works in the 1.00 or 1.05 version, I've only tried it in the 1.02 version.

Because if he's playing with the 1.05 patch, he's in the wrong forum and I should be mocking him instead of helping him.

You can do that?

Well, not in a technical sense. I meant in order to pretend that Renesco had been paid for the parts, and then some extra to make up for cheating.
