Actually Fallout takes place a maximum of one hundred years after the war. Civilization doesn't rebuild too quickly you know...
> There has to be
>some order of business around.
>Not just the iguana on
>a stick thing. I've gotten
>homo remarks on this stock

>damn thing ever happened. It

Don'tcha just love the homophobic adjectives?
Here's a nice response to a stock market idea:
#1, I was pretty surprise that Fallout featured any money at ALL. Stock markets require an industrial base to ride their gains and losses from. You can't sell stock unless there is a business that sells it.
#2, in order for stocks to fluctuate, there must be competition. In a destroyed world what is to commoditize? People have so little as it is, but to have enough to sell as a business, let alone a business large enough to issue stock? What next? Healthcare?
#3, who is to organize such a stock market. Do you expect to see stock brokers gathering in the Glow to trade stocks? Don't these people have something ELSE to do like SURVIVAL?
Yeah, maybe 1000 years after the war..
