Ammo anybody?

Handel

First time out of the vault
In CTB all the squad members love to waste the ammo in burst fire. Meanwhile in the bunkers they sell just few hundreds of each and the bukers doesn't seem to replenish.
Is there someone who is selling more ammo?

I don't in real battles, but the game is slow as hell in random encounters especially if somewhere on the other side of the map 3 wasps are fighting 2 cockroaches.

Is there a really good small gun which uses 9 mm ammo?

Then run away, head straight off the map rather than taking part in the combat. Or set your squad's weapon modes to single before going to the world map and make use of the Y key to switch modes if they switch weapons.

MP5.

There's some traders in special encounters, and a couple of the later missions but you should be able to get through the game with plenty of ammo left if you use the obscure weapons and save you good stuff for the missions.

So you are saying that merchants in the game don't restock AT ALL :!: :?: Well that kind of sucks! I went and took a lot of random encounters for xp, and now I have barely any ammo left. No matter how much money I got, there is nothing to buy. And in encounters I always spend more ammo than I get from looting. Whats even worse, I'm running out of tool kits as well, so now if I have any encounters at all I am going to lose vehicles too. I found merchants in encounters and even after stealing everything from them, it didn't help much...

The traders are just normal actors so all they've got is what's in their inventories, there's nothing in the engine that supports resupplying them.

If you are going to go random encounter hunting then at least be sensible an equip weapons without burst modes or use up the arkward ammo that doesn't appear often in the game.

Last time I played the main campaign I didn't visit the QM until I left for the last set of missions (only then to buy PA) and only traded with everyone else for stimpaks and books. I still didn't run out of ammo or supplies, for a post apocalyptic game there's just so much stuff around.

Well, that merchant in the bunker gets new stuff ocasionally, like when I return from a mission.
I wasn't paying so much attention, and I was bursting with everything I got, lol. And I'm not charging on super muties with an mp5. Good thing is there is plenny of 7.62, if you focus on mutant encounters you usually get more than you spend, even with three SAWs. Also after killing those laser turrets there are few thousand MF cells, so energy is no problem. Other weapons wouldn't be such a problem becouse there are so many of them, only thing is I don't have where to put them. Those lockers in the bunker are few and have souch small capacity compared to previus Fallouts. How can I store stuff in vehicles anyway?

The Merchant changes between bunkers, so the different versions have different inventories. There are ways to do it (restocking that is) it's just that in the default campaign they didn't set it up.

To store stuff in vehicles just enter a vehicle and with only one player selected (at a time) open your inventory, a right hand inventory screen will open up as well, the same as the steal or trade screens. Then you can just transfer your loot to the vehicle's inventory (which has unlimited space).

I think burst mode isn't so useful. It cost so many ammos and often hit nothing but your members...I often use hunting-rifle or AK47 with aimed shoot, that will work much better than burst when facing a few enemies, either in CTB or in turn.I only use burst when I meet too many enemies or sneak to give someone a present~~
If you don't use brust so much, you problem will be how to store so many ammos but not lack of them,I think.
