An Missed Opportunity

Still Mildly Glowing
I just played through honest hearts for the first time, and I saw something of missed opportunity. The New Canaanites are Mormons whose ancestors took shelter in Vault 70. The white legs are descendents of people from around the Great Salt Lake who survived the war. Wouldn’t make sense if the white legs’ tribal religion was a distorted from of Mormonism? This would have been an interesting way to set up conflict between the two groups as the New Canaanites would view the white legs as apostate, and the white legs would hold a ancestral grudge against the New Canaanites for having survived the war in a Vault while their ancestors had to fight to survive.

Well, it's just a DLC. I don't think they aim at producing a high quality good for the price 1/6 of an actual vanilla game.

Yeah, they have time and budget limitations when cranking out DLCs for a game. However, this sounds like good subject matter for a potential mod someone could create in the GECK and upload onto the Nexus.

Wouldn't they have to update the voiced dialogue too? That's the whole trouble...

That would be nice. Honest Hearts is probably my favorite DLC for FNV. The idea of uniting the two tribal groups to kick White Leg ass is awesome, it would've been nice if -

A. It was longer

B. There was more coverage of the white legs, even letting you join them would've been ideal for a legionary character.

Zion was a pretty big area, so its kinda empty when there are little to nothing to do there. Compare to OWB, HH truly seemed rushed a LOT. Dead Money used a small map, so it's perfect for it linear mission.

Zion was a beautiful place, shame there wasn't much to do there at all. I probably spent about 5 hours exploring and finishing the entire DLC. However it was a nice, refreshing break from the Mojave at least.
