Animal traps

It would be pretty cool if you could set up simple animal traps. The location would be marked on your map and you could return in a few days to check the trap.

Of course, the longer you leave it, the more chance that it'll be ruined by the elements, destroyed by raiders or other humans, or the animal could break free.

When you return, you could find that you've caught:

A gecko, which you could skin for it's pelt,
A molerat, which you could sell, or eat for food,
A wild dog which you could tame and keep for hunting, kill or sell,
or even a brahmin that's wandered too far from it's herd.

What do you think?

Definetly a great idea. I never thought of that one. Mind if i put it into one of my either Pen & Paper or model fallout games.

Your idea would make more sense if their was more use for items such as skins. Perhaps if you start low-tech then they will get you good money. plus you need to be able to get the perk of skinning from personal experiance when you have killed so many Geckos and have aquired enough skins. Also you need to be able to eat the meat and it actually helps. I've always wanted to be a mobile trader in gecko skins and such.

No, go ahead I don't mind.

Yeah that would all be good, but the part about eating meat...
They would have to balance that very well because otherwise you would have to eat almost never or to the point where it becomes a nuisance.
