I Just bought the fallout collection on ebay. Tactics works fine but boy...i wish i could say that for the other two games

Fallout 2 wont install at all. some error just appears when i try to install it

Fallout 1 installs but it doesn't work.

I Think it has something to do with my monitor size.

Yes...I've used compatibility mode

When i load Fallout 1 It says

Error initializing video mode 650x460

That is all that happens. then it just shuts down

Have you tried search the forum for Vista and compatibility mode?

I believe your problem might be fixed by going into the properties of the exe and clicking on the box which says run as win95 or something. There is a thread here somewhere with a pic.

To reiterate - have you possibly tried running Vista in 640x400 (i know its laughable but shush).

I would swear there is a way to set it so that a program starts up in 640x400 mode anyway. Try messing around with the properties a bit!

Yup. Im a total noob too computers.

I'll try messing around with properties until i get in running i guess
i hate vista
