Anyone have a ground art list?

Sabel

First time out of the vault
I would like to see a list with all the ground art in the fallout games. (I can only find the inv art)

Anyone know where I might find one?

I could not find any sort of list in Fallout2.

Check the Team X files page for programs. http://www.teamx.ru/eng/files/utils/index.shtml

You could use a .dat explorer and an .frm viewer to look at the scenery to find the names of things.

LOTS of images to look through, but you would be able to identify exactly what you wanted.

(I have used 'dat_explorer' and 'frm_view1.1' though there are other programs that may work better for you.)

Yea I know, I could use the mapper as well... but I don't wich to install the game or the mapper or anything like that. I would just want to see a list with the diffrent gound art, Just so I can make my own ground art and have it consistant with the already existing art.

Well, I'm sorry, but that is beyond me.

Can you just look at the files in the scenery or tiles folder and see the names with a mapper or dat_explorer? Or extract the file and put them in "list" view?

Do you want to add new art, or replace original art? If you re-phrase your question, maybe someone with more knowledge can answer it.

Yes I want to create my own art, but I would just want to see the ground art and use as a refference.

I am the Art moderator of the FMF team. So there are other peolpe on the team that later convert my frm:s to protos and such.

Oh! Fan-Made Fallout? I just found that website a day ago, and read about it. Very cool. :) And I am very much looking forward to see what you guys make.

This forum is where all the great Fallout modders are, I am sure of that, even though I have only been here a short time (and I just admire their work mostly).

I imagined that your team was part of this forum already. If not, then you should be! We all love the game (those I have met) and you can find a lot of friends.

So this is just part of a screenshot of scenery files in winXP.

Couldn't you do this to make your list?

Open the master.dat file with a DAT explorer. Find the files in the folder data/text/English(or other language)/game. You will see files like pro_misc.msg, pro_scen.msg, pro_item.msg, and others. Those files beginning with pro_ will provide you the lists you need for the various pieces of art.

If you don't want to use a DAT explorer, you could just try installing the largest version of the game on your computer. Some of those pro_xxxx.msg files will be there.
