really simple, but has a nice Lynyrd Skynyrd sound to it.

Anyone got a good chord to finish this one off? I was thinking Fminor, but it doesn't really fit the bill.

My favorite chord progression to jam on, is the one in Fade to Black, off Metallica's Ride the Lightning

A minor
C Major
G Major
E minor

Pretty damn basic progression but sounds very nice

My favorite part in Fade to Black to play is that fingerpicked acoustic riff, soloing over that riff in the key of A minor feels like cake

Agree, but I'm not posting my songs, just chord progressions i like. That said, if you play guitar you've probably got some you like. I mostly fingerpick, so I know next to nothing bout chords, so help me out, eh?

I prefer melody to harmony so I don't usually try to make up chord progressions on my own, I just play ones from songs that I like. (That's melody in the strict sense, not the pop song sense).
