Application error?

First time out of the vault
Hey hows it going everyone, i'm sure you've all answered this question a million times, but i cant seem to find it with search, and i cant get ahold of anything on google that even resembles what i'm going through. I recently installed Fallout 2 so that i could get myself hyped up for the new Fallout 3 that will be coming out shortly, in the recent years i've bought a few new computers and it's worked on all but my laptop, i installed the game on my laptop a few short days ago, it's a Compaque Pres, G Force graphics and it has the dreaded vista on it. Now i'm not sure if Falllout is able to run on vista, but any help would be frickin awsome guys! Thanks!

So what exactly is the problem? You run the game and a message pops up saying "Application Error"?

Have you tired looking at this thread yet?

Yeah, i took a look at that and i couldnt find anything that looked like what i was getting. What's happening is i'll start the game, It will play for about five to ten minutes, some times longer, and then right when i do some kind of action like open a door, loot someone's body, hell, I even just move it'll freeze up on me and i'll have to shut it down manually through ctrl alt delt, then it gives me an error, says Application Error, and then something about couldn't find memory "000000" something like that?

And you have tried compatibility mode?

I don't have Vista, so I am not really sure what to say. Despite Vista's shittiness, I know people have gotten Fallout to work under it. Searching for Vista here came up with nothing?

Heh, never mind man, thanks for your help but i think i fixed it. I got fed up with it and uninstalled it, then re installed the damn thing, and now it works like a charm! Lookin for the geck again and now i'm big pimpin lol xD
