Seen it, don't care for it.., whatever?
You opinions?
I usually don't care for reality shows, but this one had the producer from the Eco Challenge on it.
It's a rather fascinating study about business. It's very exaggerated and glam up, but half the stuff they do is involved with media.
Spoiler if you haven't seen it:
I just watched the finale.
Bill got the nod. All in all, I would probably agree with the choice. Quanmi(not sure how to sp?) in my eyes is just as she said, a textbook case. Smart, determined, cool, but not very skilled as of yet.
But I am in business as well, and I find myself constantly evaluating on how I would have done certain things. There is also the part that questions whether or not I would be able to handle the job. I don't know. 215,000 applicants, and 2 winners. I would probably freak if I am put at some of the situations. $700million is a lot of money.
It's interesting study in business nevertheless. Since I have touched American, Japanese, and Chinese ways of doing business during my jobs, I was able to find a bit of everything in what they did. Bill has a very Japanese style of managing, perfectionist, constantly asking questions, plan for all possibilities and so on. Quanmi is a very textbook case of the New American style management. Hands off, people skills, delegation, and I am the manager not your leader type.
Trump is old school. Hard, aggressive, pits people against each other, confrontational, I am the boss and leader, and so on.
Type A personalities abound.
