Armour ideas

I think that in F03 there should be seperate armour slots for:

-Helmet
-Body
-Boots

Each would only be there if they are availiable. For example: Metal armour does not include a helmet, combat armour does.

Also, this would serve so people would not recognise you in power armour unless you took your helmet off.
So some suits of armour would include the whole suit, and others might not include the boots/helmet etc.
And maybe it would have you searching for a pair of boots, or a helmet, and if you did not wear boots, you would lose a couple of hit points as you traveled. But your feet would toughen and it's only 1 or 2 HP so it would be no big problem.

And finally, it would affect damage, ie. if you did not wear a helmet, and someone shot you in the head, you would take more damage than if you wore a helmet.

What do you think?

great idea

I think it is a great idea and. I have allways wanted to take off my helmet like rhombus in fallout1

And maybe, if it wasn't too much micromanagement, we could have separate armor for each arm and leg too.

Another idea is to have damage levels for armor. Say you get shot in the leg, your leg armor gets a bit damaged, so it offers a bit less protection. But it never gets completely destroyed, just damaged. So you have "Metal leg bracers" and "damaged Metal leg bracers".

And in your inventory, you have a slot system for every body part ala some other RPGs.

I like it! It would also be cool if you could "Mix and Match" too. My female characterI could wear pink sippers with her bootless power armour, or Combat boots with her night gown etc.

After enough damage to a certain are of armor it would become "broke" and would offer no protection. But if you had a high enough repair skill you could fix it

I think tat you should be able to get a kevlar vest or somthing like that, you know.. normal armors. And also there should be about 2 or 3 headgear slots for shades or a walkman or somthing like that.

How about...

Painting your armor (in special shops, or when you join a gang/clan, take their colors.) If you've for instance killed dozens of men and have a specific image on you armor, people would fear the one wearing it and bountyhunters track it. (you could deceive the bountyhunters by giving the armor to someone else, and, the other could abuse it by having an armor painted the same way so you'd be blaimed, in the wastes, you are guilty untill proven otherwise.)
Don't kill the visionary!
