Clone was nice enough to tip me about an update at their site - the Ashes of Apocalypse mod for TES3: Morrowind - check it out for a more detailed progress update and stuff:<blockquote>What is that? Interesting... I’m not sure if it is good or bad. The entire post-apocalyptic genre has to live up to the standards I saw in the Fallout1&2. I am always looking for that even when I should know better. The whole spell-casting thing is what I'm on about. Other than that looks like there is some potential. Diggin the you vote for it we do it set up though.
 
I like the music, the first seem bore to me, but second is more unpredictible so curious.
 
If they change skills and get rid of magic it should be all ok. Then it's just a matter of how well they build up post apoc feeling and plot.
 
umh...the texturing is sucky, at best, I could do better than that with my eyes closed and one arm tied on my back...And tell me why is that AK one and a half meter long?....
So to be honest, this does not look very promising to me :?
 
On the textures subject, to be honest TeS doesn help out much regarding that. It more an engine thing than the mod devs fault, really.
 
Yes, they will of course get rid of the magic and the standard TES skill set. Not sure what will the replacements be, though.
 
Well, I see no need for any replacements for magic at all. And I guess some switchees at skills to implement guns and technology related skills would do. To follow fallout it would be big and small guns and science ;)

About looks ... I dont care that much as long as it would be playable. I mean ... fallout does look sucky but noone realy cares because it's not what counts the most there. Besides I'm sure they will polish the looks at the end. For now it's just demo picks anyways.
 
Fallout looks sucky? That's blasphemy! No, to be honest, for a game thats 7-8 years old fallout's graphics are really good, and they have a special atmosphere, to say that Fallout looks sucky is just wrong, no matter how you put it.
 
This mod is actually impressive considering it's Morrowind they are changing over to a Fallout setting.
 
Fallout-y; not truly "the" Fallout setting, just PA-California setting. I guess it's to avoid us dissing them for inconsistencies ;)
 
Everyone knows that you go to NMA for good diessing. Certainly noone expects anything but. ;)
