Atomic bomb movies

For many once-secret-films and other goodies, try archive.org - they have a huge database.

I found out a friend of mine owned a copy of 'Threads'.
I saw it last night, what a great movie!
Very well written/made/acted.
I'm planning to see 'War games' tonight, hope it has the same "impact".

Panic In Year Zero!

Kind of campy, but not a bad little film, and it gains bonus points for actually being made at the height of the nuke scare, just before the Cuban Missile Crisis. It's now available as a twofer with Vincent Price's The Last Man On Earth. Strongly recommended.

Also, it's not exactly a movie per se, but The Atomic Cafe is kind of a combination documentary/newsreel compilation that serves as an amusing window on some of the more darkly absurd aspects of the atomic fervor that America was swept up in for the first decade or so of the Nevada bomb tests.

THREADS is also available on Google Video btw (both as the whole 1:48hr and in parts..)..
[Given it's been up there for a long time, I'm assuming the BBC released it to pub domain?]

I'm alittle unhappy that The Day After hasn't gone Pub-Domain though :/
