Bad frame rate after adding resolution patch :/ (Fallout 1)

First time out of the vault

After I installed the resolution patch the frame rate dropped significantly, and it started lagging.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Maybe your PC just can't handle playing in such a high resolution?

You must turn off DX9 mode in resolution patch settings.

I have a fairly fast PC so i doubt it.
