Baldur's Gate 1 Graphic Problem

Barrett

Still Mildly Glowing
Hello, I got the 3CD version of Baldur's Gate a few days ago, and I'm having this annoying graphical glitch.

My system specs:
Windows XP Pro SP3
nvidia 8600 /w 512 vram and latest drivers
2048mb of ram

I would really appreciate any help, thanks. :notworthy:

Ehm... don't really know what to say. You might want to ask somewhere where people know more about Baldur's Gate.
What I can tell you is try changing the game's graphics options. I believe there is some option about transparency and the transparency seems to be the problem there. But anyway, turn on and off all the options if you haven't done so already.
I had a problem with BG 2 in the past... although mine was more serious... I only got a black screen when starting the game (I could see the main menu) and the only way to fix it was to install older drivers for the video card. I don't know if they fixed that bug yet. And it probably doesn't have anything to do with your problem since you have BG1 there, but you never know...

You have my eternal gratitude. :notworthy:

Works with any Infinity Engine game. You might also want to take a look at this:

BG1Tutu is a project which brings the content from Baldur's Gate (or Tales of the Sword Coast) into the Baldur's Gate II engine. This allows BG1 to enjoy all the benefits of BG2 such as higher resolution, new races, classes and kits, dual-wielding, and much more!

Requires Baldur's Gate 2 installed, but works really well.
