Ok this weird, you got the avatar but you aren`t banned, so i suppose it`s something temporary.

There is a PC version of the game coming out in a couple of months, i`ll check it then, but the reviews have been rather poor.

A buddy of mine has played this game. It's nothing like the Bard's Tale of the old DOS and C64 days. It's your basic hack and slash, so in other words, not a true RPG, more of an adventure game. It's supposedly pretty funny though. I'll wait and judge that for myself however.

Also, there's no party in the game, just the bard. You can play bard songs to summon creatures, but that's it as far as allies go.

The game supposedly has many sidequests and multiple paths through the game, althought i'm not sure how much effect it'll have on the main plot line.

This game was also built off of an enhanced version of the BG:DA engine, and probably suffers from consolitis. I much prefer the old style BT games but i'll probably give this one a try.

I would suggest renting it first and seeing if its really worth it. That's probably what i'll do.

From what I read, you can still get the Dog in your party, but the gaining of it is so obscure, that you can easily pass on getting it. Also the main thing that supposedly crosses over is the humor. I would pay 20.00 to hear Carey Elwes be a snarky bastard, for sure :)

Waiting for it to hit PC's though, but its been over 6 months since it was released on Console, guess there were a lot of problems in the porting over :/

I'm playing through it right now. It's pretty funny, but it's still a fairly standard hack and slash game actionwise. I'm only about eight hours into it, and it's interesting. I've heard it's relatively short though, like twenty hours.

It's funny, I didn't even know Brian Fargo had anything to do with the game until a couple days ago. And the name didn't even register until yesterday. Now that I know that, you can definitely see some Fallout influences in the game: the stats, the choices early on that affect the game later, the humor...

I got it for free in Gamestop when I bought two other games (KOTOR2 and XMen Legends if you care). It's enjoyable so far, so I'd reccomend it.

edit- OK, I just beat the game. Friggin hilarious ending.

It's basically a more or less standard hack n' slash game like Bauldar's Gate: Dark Alliance, but it's infused with alot of humor poking fun at games like those. It's funny, but not so slapstick funny that it gets in the way of gameplay (i.e. it's not just a "joke" game).

If you like hack n' slash games, pick it up used. Otherwise forget about it.
