Batty, Batty Roy

First time out of the vault
This may be a spoiler for you.

In my new game I chose to go the tenpenny tower route, but I want to try to maintain nuetral karma, so I helped negotiate the ghouls' entrance into the tower. I thought it was rather cool how everyone was getting along and felt that I was justified in my constant loading and reloading just to cheat my way through all the speach checks needed to make it happen. So then I come back from Super Duper Mart only to find that Roy has killed all of the human residents and stashed their gruesomely mangled bodies in the cellar for his feral ghoul pet to feast on! When I asked him about it he told me to piss off or I'd be joining them. Needless to say, I felt that his behavior called for a live frag in the pocket. Unfortunately I lost even more karma killing him though.... come on!

Lol your day hasn't gone to well then has it? Thats pretty funny actually, heh. Nice try though, sometimes the peaceful route is not the best idea eh?

I honestly thought this thread was going to be about Roy Batty, a character from Blade Runner.

I suppose Harkness is good enough for those unable to discern the difference between 'android' and 'replicant'. When I saw Harkness I figured it'd be a Dr Who reference.. sigh.

I'm sorely disappointed at the continuing absense of at least one good Sci-fi reference. Simply repeating the same encounter (UFO) is boring.

On topic. He only killed Tenpenny in my game.. weird.
Did you convince the recalcitrant members of the Tower to leave on their own?

They were called "androids" in the original Philip K. Dick novel.

You're right, and I knew this.. I was trying to make a point and I got lost half way. Think it had something to do with Gynoids.. or sheep.

I normally wouldn't give Bethesda as much credit as to think they took an idea from the source material instead of the movies that it spawned.

Ah! My problem arose from the fact they called female 'bots "Androids" too! Oh bugger this. It's 12AM.. i'm going to bed.

Yeah, I love Bladerunner and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" so I made a tiny little referrence. I'm not clear on wether or not I convinced anyone to leave... the speach check said something like "this is happening, either like it or pack your bags". Then on one visit back, Roy had killed Tenpenny like you said, though most of the other residents were still around. However, there's no mistaking it, the next time I came back the place was completely human free and when I asked the ghoul store operator where they went he made a joke about staying away from the cellar. Obviously I went to check it out, and alas, there they were in a heap of gore. Even the "dashing" guy who said he liked ghouls.

Heh, I attempted the peaceful solution and got frustrated so I just let the ghouls in. Of coures that was after I got Tenpenny to pay me not to kill and then shot him in the head anyway. Surprisingly enough I'm still a "good" guy.

Go Regulators, the last remaining force of law, justice and turning a blind eye left in the wasteland.
